External speakers have now been confirmed for our workshop, “G-Active: Novel Approaches to Energy Management and Eco-Driving”, which will be held at the Boldrewood Campus of the University of Southampton on 14th November 2018 between 11am and 5pm.
The workshop discusses novel, multidiciplinary approaches to fuel-saving and emissions reduction for future connected vehicles, including energy management control strategies, driver and traffic modelling, user interface design for driver assistance systems, and more.
External speakers confirmed for the workshop include:
Johannes Buerger of BMW Group, with his presentation: “Predictive energy management for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles based on optimal control”
Ryan Fisher of the Knowledge Transfer Network, with his presentation: “Technology advancements in the EV space and opportunities for funding”
Brian Rutter of the Ford Motor Company, with his presentation: “How do we leverage the human capacity for thinking to create innovative solutions that add value to customers, society and commercial activities?”
In addition, there will be several presentations by current members of the G-Active project on their work. The workshop also includes a free lunch and a visit to the University of Southampton driving simulator at the end of the day (registration is required for the simulator visit).
